Nottingham Forest News:
Manager Paul Hart will check on the fitness of Gareth Williams before naming his Nottingham Forest line-up to face Wimbledon. Des Walker is expected to make return to the starting line-up after sitting on the bench against Rotherham last match. John Thompson sits out his second out of three matches. David Johnson and Davy Oyen are still injured.
Wimbledon News:
Wimbledon midfielder Lionel Morgan could be set for a recall to the starting line-up following Wednesday evening’s 1-0 defeat at Coventry City. Darren Holloway is suspended after he was sent off against Preston North End. Peter Hawkins could replace Holloway. The match comes to fast on Alex Tapp, Tapp will need another week with rest.
Comments:
Nottingham was held to 2-2 home against Rotherham last match after being up 2-0 early in second half. Nottingham dominated the match. After Rotherham had equalized, Nottingham went close for their third goal several times. After going so close for a promotion place last season (lost in play off semi final against Sheffield United). Nottingham Forest was many people’s favourites to challenge for an automatic promotion place spot this season.
Sorry Wimbledon lost again last match, 1-0 away against Coventry. Coventry was the better side and deserved all points in a rather boring match. Wimbledon has now lost eight out of their nine latest matches. If manager Stuart Murdoch doesn’t deliver results soon, we’re afraid that Wimbledon will play in Nationwide Two next season. As late as three seasons ago, the thought about Wimbledon in the Nationwide Two would have been unthinkable. The greatest players have left the club after the relegation, and there is no money for buying new players. Wimbledon has only won four points in twelve matches, no points are won away this season. 28 goals are conceded in 12 matches, which is almost 2.5 goals every match.
